Are the group meetings hosted on a Thursday evening just for residents staying at Reset Sober Living, or are guests welcome? If so, do outsiders pay?
Group meetings are compulsory for residents but open to the public at no charge. Facilitated by Reset Sober Living’s qualified counsellor, these sessions focus on topics relevant to recovery and personal growth.
Are clients required to commit to a specific period of time at Reset Sober Living?
Reset Sober Living operates on a month-to-month basis, accommodating residents for as long as needed. While long-term commitment is encouraged to maximize the benefits of sober living, residents can leave with one month's notice, with the return of their damages deposit contingent on fulfilling lease agreement terms.
What does Reset Sober Living’s daily program consist of?
As the residents have completed primary care programs, a structured daily program is not enforced as residents are required to work and or study. Residents maintain their own routines, including work, studies, recovery meetings, and personal activities. Personal responsibility and accountability in managing time and finances is emphasized.
Are residents taken on outings, and are they assigned responsibilities in the house, like cooking?
Social outings are organized for residents at their own expense and assigned cooking responsibilities are a part of daily living to foster a sense of community. Residents share household duties, such as kitchen cleanup, while a maid and gardener manage communal areas.
Do you deal with drug and alcohol addictions only, or do you address any addictions and mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety?
Reset Sober Living recognizes the interplay between addiction and mental health issues and support residents in addressing underlying concerns. Our counsellor identifies and addresses mental health issues, facilitating appropriate treatment and support as needed.
How do you prepare a client for reintegration?

Do you assist residents with life skills and finding jobs?
Yes, the weekly topic-related groups cover life skills, and Reset Sober Living offers guidance on resume writing and job search strategies. Residents are encouraged to take ownership of their job search process for increased empowerment.
Please describe your accommodation and meal arrangements.
Reset Sober Living’s accommodation includes private and semi-private rooms with shared bathrooms, ensuring comfort and privacy. Residents are responsible for preparing both breakfast and dinner, fostering a sense of community during mealtimes. We supply all ingredients on weekdays (Monday-Thursday). Weekend dining arrangements are the responsibility of resident.
If a resident needs a dentist or a doctor, do you take them?
While residents are responsible for their medical needs, those without family support are assisted in accessing medical care. However, residents are encouraged to manage their healthcare, under wise counsel.
Do you follow the 12 steps as the only means of treatment? How is this delivered? Is it through group meetings as opposed to individual therapy?
Reset Sober Living does not enforce a specific treatment model. Residents are supported in choosing recovery paths that resonate with them. While some residents may follow the 12 steps, others may pursue alternative approaches, with support available through group meetings and individual counselling as needed.
Do you involve the family?
Reset Sober Living encourages family involvement and facilitates visitation for residents' children and spouses. However, the approach focuses more on individual support rather than structured family therapy sessions.
Is there any structure, or is it a relaxed environment whereby they can do their own thing and come and go?
While Reset Sober Living maintains a relaxed atmosphere, recovery and accountability are top priorities. Residents are expected to adhere to house rules and contribute to the community while enjoying personal freedoms.
May residents keep their cell phones and laptops?
Residents are allowed cell phones and laptops, as many are employed or engaged in studies. However, responsible usage is expected, and devices are subject to inspection if necessary.
Are drug tests performed?
Drug tests are conducted regularly, with a minimum frequency of once a week, to ensure the sobriety of our residents. This practice helps maintain a supportive and accountable environment conducive to recovery.
What are the consequences of a resident testing positive on a drug test?
In the event of a positive drug test, the resident will be referred back to a detoxification or rehabilitation program, depending on the circumstances. Re-entry to Reset Sober Living is contingent on testing negative and demonstrating a renewed commitment to recovery.
If an individual does not follow Christianity, are they still accepted at Reset Sober Living?
Reset Sober Living welcomes individuals of all religious backgrounds and beliefs, including non-believers. The approach is inclusive and respectful, with no religious affiliation required for admission or participation in our program.
Do you accept foreign residents?

If residents are on any form of medication, do they have access to it themselves, or is it kept and administered by Reset Sober Living?
Medication is dispensed to residents once a week. All medication is kept under strict lock and key by management.
